JBoss Application Server 4.2 is Released
Tuesday 22 May 2007Users now have the ability to start writing Java EE 5.0 applications on JBoss 4.x.
JBoss.org, the open source middleware community sponsored by Red Hat, today announced the general availability of JBoss Application Server 4.2, which integrates key components from the Java Platform Enterprise Edition (EE) 5.0 into the JBoss 4.x line. This release will be the version on which the new JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 4.2 will be stabilized for Red Hat's enterprise subscription customers.

"Users can be confident that features in 4.2, such as Java Persistence and support for JavaServer Faces, will be completely portable to JBoss AS 5.0, our next-generation app server, which is currently undergoing Java EE 5.0 certification testing."
